Eligibility
New AWS customers on the free plan. A valid payment method is required to verify identity (you are not charged until you upgrade to a paid plan).
What you get
Up to $200 in AWS credits: $100 immediately on signup, plus up to $100 more earned by using key services such as Amazon EC2 and Amazon Bedrock. Credits can be spent on Amazon Bedrock foundation models. Amazon Bedrock has no permanent free tier of its own — it is pay-as-you-go and reachable here via the credits.
How to claim it
Create a new AWS account and choose the free plan
Provide a valid payment method for identity verification
Use the $100 signup credit (and earn up to $100 more) on Amazon Bedrock and other services
Good to know
The free plan (launched July 2025) still requires a payment method — it is not a no-card offer. The account/plan closes 6 months after opening or when credits run out, whichever comes first. Bedrock is not in the always-free service list.
Eligible startups can get up to $200,000 in AWS Activate credits — usable on Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker and the rest of AWS. Apply with no card; you need an AWS account.
